Juggling Safety
Juggling is a fun and fairly safe hobby, but there are a few general safety tips you should be aware of while attempting to juggle.
Clear some space
You will need to have plenty of room when juggling to make sure you don't hit anything. Do NOT juggle near breakables (like glass, windows, lamps). Do NOT juggle near another person(s), if you want to show someone your l33t juggling skills, ask them to stand at least an arms length away from you. Finally, don't juggle inside unless you have high ceilings. Always be conscious of whether you are standing under a light, hanging pot-plant or chandelier.
Only juggle safe objects
When picking items to juggle, make sure they won't harm you or anyone watching you.
Here are some examples of safe and unsafe items you can juggle:
| Generally Safe | Not Safe |
|---|---|
| Juggling Balls | Knives |
| Beanbags | Chainsaws |
| Handkerchiefs | Family Pets |
| Oranges | Bowling balls |
| Apples | Weapons |
| Hacky-sacks | Anything that's on fire |
People who do juggle knives, chainsaws and fire sticks are using specially made juggling equipment. They also have many years of juggling experience and are fully aware of the risk.
